Chicago Lady Steam is a semi-professional basketball team founded in 2009 by Ron Hicks.
The sole mission is to give young women a showcase for their basketball talents, helping to position them to play professional basketball overseas.
The Chicago Lady Steam is the sister team of the ABA's Chicago Steam.
For starters, players are home grown. A visit to a Steam game is like a trip down memory lane where you get to see players you know from your local high schools and colleges pursuing their professional basketball careers. And because our players are from the community, they're accessible to the community.
